Founder
Role and Expertise
Phil founded FRS Advisors in 1984 with the goal of bringing institutional-level investment management to middle market, municipal, and private clients. Phil consults with a variety of clients seeking retirement and estate planning services, including high-net-worth individuals, and designs and implements investment management strategies specifically tailored to meet unique client needs.
Phil draws on expertise gained from managing pensions and benefits for a Fortune 500 company to provide business owners with financial and retirement planning services that encourage employee participation, in addition to estate planning support for the employers themselves.
Professional Experience
Prior to founding FRS, Phil worked in the corporate sector, where he served as Manager of Human Resources for Penn Central Energy Group, Inc., and Director of Pension and Benefits for Buckeye Pipeline Co., a subsidiary of Penn Central. He also directed pensions and benefits at SEI, a leading provider of investment management solutions for wealth management.
Phil is a retired military officer and aviator, having served in Active Military Duty for the United States Army from 1966 to 1971, and in the Army Reserve Service from 1971 to 1996. He earned 17 Air Medals and a Bronze Star as an aviator in Vietnam, and was a Commander of the 4th Battalion of the 158th Aviation Regiment from 1989 to 1991.
